To quote we will need an attached file of any logo or draft text and approximate size. Draft designs are sent for approval by email prior to production.

We will guarantee a very competitive price on small signs, supply only. Lettering etched, clear background up to 5 sq ft., max length sent by courier 115 cms L

Signs are pre-drilled ready to accept the shaft of the stand off / sleeve assembly. Fitting is no more difficult than a rawlplug fit for a normal sign.

Stand off signs are impacting but they are not for every location. Consideration should be given to:

They need to be screwed securely to the back surface. They are therefore inappropriate for either shell doors or UPVC doors, or at shoulder height on routeways.

Where the lettering is etch (usual and cheaper), consideration needs to be given contrast off the background surface.

They are more expensive than ordinary signs. The cost of the stud / sleeve assemblies and drilling would typically add about £20 to the cost of a standard acrylic sign.

Price guide: House plaque size £30. Clearly every sign is individual so quotes will be given once detail is known. Detail of artwork is a price issue. Signs involving cut out of etch are 15% more expensive.

Studs / Sleeve assemblies are to your choice. Small signs less than 30 cms would typically use  12mm diameter stud / sleeve assembly. Over 30 cms would typically use a 15 or 16mm stud / sleeve assembly. Sizes over 80cms should consider the appropriateness of either using 6 studs and / or using 19mm stud / sleeve assemblies. We are quite happy to sell these separately from signs

Stud / sleeve assembly prices:

12mm chrome or satin chrome with 16mm stand off £3 each

16mm chrome or satin chrome with 20mm stand off £4 each

15mm brass with 25mm stand off £5

Budget (using mirror screws) 12mm satin chrome with 12mm stand off £2 each

Carriage: Small signs would normally be sent by royal mail. We only pass on the postage charge. For gross weight in excess of 4kg, we would despatch by 2 day courier at a cost of £8.40 + insurance (price as at November 2012).

No VAT: After 18 years of being a tax collector, parts of the business have been separated off to get beneath the VAT threshold.
